JANICE MCCUBBIN
Artist and Interior Designer
Janice McCubbin was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky where she always had a keen interest in art. She earned a scholarship to J.B.Speed Art School and Museum at the University of Louisville.
Her art studies took her into fabrics, patterns, and design.....which lead to a very successful career as an Interior Designer. After 30+ years in the Interior Design business, Janice decided she still harbored her desire to be an Artist. In 2003 she started enrolling in Art classes. Since that date she has studied with many of the finest artists in America and a few internationally recognized artists in foreign countries.
Janice is an associate member of OPA (Oil Painters of America),
a member of ACT (Artist Changing Tomorrow),
a member of the Art Guild of Rural Texas,
American Impressionist Society,
HLSR Art Committee member and Judge,
and an active Licensed Interior Designer
Janice's training and art education has taken her into China, Mexico, Tibet, Maine, No. Carolina, Kentucky, California, and New Mexico. She has studied under the following well respected Master Artists:

Through her art studies she has captured some of these varied talents and has worked them into her own style. Janice has won numerous First Place awards and honors such as 'Best of Show' on multiple ocassions. Including the 15th Annual International Juried Art Show in Estes Park Colorado. Janice's art has recently been shown at the Germanton Gallery in North Carolina. She has been an annual contributor of art to the Art Guild of Rural Texas and participates in the annual Art Walk. Her work is on display at the Gallery at Round Top, Round Top Texas.
Janice's driving obsession and burning desire has always been to improve with each painting and enjoy every minute as she progresses.
