Maria Fernanda Lairet

Born in Caracas, Venezuela. She did drawing studies in Newman Design Foundation (1982-1984). After, she graduates of Graphic Design Studies Caracas Institute of Design (1984-1987). During her career, she has studied graphic design, drawing, photography, painting, and other art disciplines that she combines in her recent works, a result of mixed techniques and new technology.

During the eighties and nineties, she made expressionism abstract paintings. Nowadays, she has changed her work to a conceptual and more intellectual art, nurtured from the diverse images and messages that conform the universe of money, at present about her paper version (the banknote).

She has participated recently in several international and national expositions: Museum of Heng Lu in Hangzhou (2011, China); Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas, Venezuela (2011); ETNIA (2010- 2011, Belgica, Luxembourg, and Holland); MIA Art Fair (2011, Miami Beach); Shanghai Art Fair (2011); PINTA London Art Fair (2011); PINTA New York Fair (2011); Base Paint Auction (2011, Miami); Iberoamerican Art Fair (FIART 2011, Dominican Republic); Iberoamerican Art Fair (FIA 2010 & 2011, Venezuela), and others.

She is represented by many galleries: Art Nouveau Gallery. Miami (2010-2011); Bandi Trazos Gallery, Korea(2011): Galería Estudio Arte 8, Caracas-Venezuela (2009-2011); Galería Parenthesis, Caracas-Venezuela (2010-2011); Espacio MAD, Caracas-Venezuela (2011); Art Nouveau, Maracaibo-Venezuela (2010-2011).
