The LAKMA'S permanent collection includes the works of renowned artists from the private collections of the Gausachs Foundation, the Bellapart Museum, Matt Lamb Foundation & the private collection of the Dali-Barcelona Museum.
With emphasis on creating a significant cultural exchange the museums temporary exhibitions displays works of outstanding emerging artists as well as internationally renown artist, regardless of their nationalities; such as Matt Lamb, Roel Hofman, Nikola Dimitrovm, Janices Mccubbin amongst others.
The Museum exhibits modern and contemporary collections of other important museums, foundations and private collections from around the globe.
Building on this momentum and commitment the LAKMA will become the home of The Netherlands center for the Arts of the Americas. The only one of its kind in the Netherlands and will serve as an important curatorial and educational resource center for professionals and students.
The LAKMA emphasizes the formation of a new collection and research culminating in major exhibitions, lectures, and symposia. The focus of the collection is modern and contemporary art in all media by emerging international artists.

The museum also serves as a fusion of cultural activities from cultural centers across the Benelux and makes these resources available for students seeking professional experience in this field.
